Installing WinMerge is quick and straightforward. This guide walks you through downloading the correct version and completing the setup on Windows 10 or Windows 11.
Step 1: Download WinMerge
Visit the official WinMerge downloads page at winmerge.org/downloads. Always download from the official site to ensure you get the latest stable, malware-free release.
Choose your installer type:
- WinMerge-x64-Setup.exe — for 64-bit Windows (recommended for most users)
- WinMerge-x86-Setup.exe — for 32-bit Windows
- Portable ZIP — if you want to run WinMerge without installing it
Step 2: Run the Installer
- Double-click the downloaded
